6am Cycle class?!!!
Do you like to spin without music? I definitely don't. I don't even like to do spin without an instructor!
Last Friday, I signed up for the 6am Spin Class. Although I'd signed up for the class, I didn't really want to go. I wanted to stay in bed. But I got up.
Now, understand that when I woke up, I read the May Day email from Rodan+Fields about Lash Boost in danger of going out of stock. (And now it's no longer available) And while I was tempted to stay home and contact all my clients about Lash Boost and save their lashes, I realized that it was just another excuse not to go to class, so I compromised. I went to the gym AND did a quick Facebook Live on my VIP clients page about Lash Boost from the gym. Lol!
I walked into class, set up my bike and starting warming up. Next thing I notice is some murmuring....it's 6:05am and there is no instructor.
I thought to myself, I wonder if this is like college...15min rule and then I get to go home. Sweet!
5 minutes turned into 10 minutes of spinning with no instructor. About 7 minutes in I grabbed my iphone and put on Spotify. Soon someone came in to tell us that the instructor was MIA.
What to do? Go HOME! You tried to workout Rox. It's not your fault that the instructor didn't show up.
I thought about it for a moment. I remembered all of the Margaritas that had my name on it during my Laguna Beach vacation.
And do you know what I did?
I got up and walked over to the podium. After all, I'm a fitness professional! Don't worry. It's not what you think. I plugged in my iPhone so that the class could have music too.
Fellow gym members don't let fellow gym members spin with no Instructor AND no music.
The class cheered. :-)
And while it sucked, (It really did!) because I gave up my phone for the good of the class, I was stuck on that bike for the next 30 minutes.
I left feeling accomplished!
Sleep, Business, and a No Show Instructor were all good excuses for me to skip my workout. And yet, I worked out anyway!
